From Berries to Bananas

Once you’ve mastered The Basics of Rice Pudding, it’s time to get creative! By folding the fruity flavor right into the mixture, this dessert has a pinkish hue. On the other hand, our Strawberry Shortcake Rice Pudding Parfaits are photo-worthy for a different reason: the alternating layers of creamy white pudding and vivid crimson berries are irresistible. For more layered snacks, look no further than this Cran-Raspberry Quinoa Rice Pudding Trifle. Don’t stop there, the possibilities go beyond berries! Though our Banana Kiwi Rice Pudding is a lighter option, it certainly does not lack any flavor.

Vegan Variety

Want a vegan treat that still boasts the velvety texture of traditional rice pudding? Simply swap out the dairy ingredients! Lactose alternatives don’t lack flavor or creaminess; you just need to find the right combination of starch, protein and fat. In fact, picky eaters most likely won’t even notice that you’ve whipped up yet another delicious Vegan Recipe.

For a texture similar to sweetened condensed milk, opt for cream of coconut. It has just about the same sweetness, and will also add a hint of coconut. As for the milk, there are several options. For a dairy-free alternative with a neutral flavor, choose soy. For nutty notes, go with almond milk. Of course, you could always double down on that coconut flavor by using coconut milk.
