Flavorful Soup

If you’re looking for ways to make comforting, broth-based soups more flavorful, you’ve come to the right place. For this recipe, we’ve given the dish a base layer of flavor by first sautéeing the onion, garlic and spices, including cumin and red chili flakes, to add a bit of a mild kick in every spoonful. Then, we add the broth, lentils and carrots to soften and absorb that delicious combination!

This recipe calls for precooked chicken, so feel free to use up any leftovers or a store-bought rotisserie chicken. If you have extra time, though, you could take the opportunity to marinate a chicken breast in oil and spices before cooking it and tossing it into your soup.

Although it may seem like a minor addition, adding herbs is a great way to elevate all of your meals in a bowl. Just see for yourself in this recipe and others like our French Herb Tomato Soup with Quinoa
