Homemade Soup

Making your own soup at home can be quite simple and this satisfying recipe is just that! In just 3 steps and 25 minutes, you’ll have turned fresh ingredients into a warm pot of soup that’s ready to serve!

To save time while cooking, have all of your ingredients peeled, sliced, measured and ready to go before you start. Then, all you’ll need to do is to focus on what comes next in your recipe.

What really takes this soup to the next level are the French herbs, chives and tarragon, that are sprinkled over the top. However, basil can also be substituted in for the tarragon, if that’s what you have on hand.

Tomato Soup and Cheese

This soup is made with a tomato base and is perfect for pairing with a slice of crusty bread. Or, you can make this into a complete meal the family will love by pairing it with a gooey, cheesy grilled cheese sandwich. We also love this soup as a side to our Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole or our Cheesy Jalapeño Quinoa Cakes with Aioli.

    Recipe Tip

For a smoother soup, puree it using a hand blender before adding the quinoa.
