Comfort Classic

When you’re craving a bit of comfort food, keep this soup recipe close! Making your own homemade hearty soup just got a whole lot easier because of Success® Boil-in-Bag White Rice, and not to mention quicker as it’s ready to eat in under 30 minutes.

If you’ve never made homemade soup before, let’s break down the essentials: While your rice is cooking, in another pot, heat the chicken broth and condensed milk for your soup to have a savory yet creamy base. Next, you might be thinking about skipping the cornstarch, but think again! When added to the heat, the cornstarch, seasoning and water mixture will help you soup to thicken as you stir it in. While you’re stirring your soup, don’t forget to keep an eye on your quick-cooking rice.

Once it has reached the desired thickness, add in the chicken and veggies and afterward the cooked rice. For an extra bit of flavor, top with your favorite shredded cheese and crispy bacon if desired.
