How to Prepare the Perfect Burrito
Burritos might seem challenging to wrap, but with this guide, you’ll learn how to master the filling and rolling techniques for all of your burrito recipe ideas. The key is to use a moderate amount of ingredients to ensure that the burrito is not overfilled with all of your favorites.
Burrito Filling: Prepare your burrito filling first. This recipe is made using cooked shredded chicken, which can be used from a leftover meal or store-bought rotisserie chicken. Together the cooked chicken is stir-fried with our specialty blend of Success Garden and Grains™ White Rice, Black Beans, Corn, & Bell Peppers. Take the hassle out of mealtime by using this pre-mixed blend of rice and beans with vegetables so you don’t have to measure or make a mess in the kitchen! With the Boil-in-Bag rice, the majority of your base filling is ready in just 10 minutes.
Extra Additions/Toppings: Once you have the base, it’s time to prepare the extra toppings so that you can fill your burrito at once. Use any of your favorites like creamy guacamole, Mexican crema, fresh pico de gallo or shredded cheese of choice. With the prepared base and toppings, you can now start building your burrito.
Prepare the Tortilla: For best results, use large (10-inch) flour tortillas. Microwave them wrapped in damp paper towels to warm and make them more flexible to wrap. Then, carefully spoon the rice mixture in the middle, leaving space at the top, bottom and on the sides so you can wrap it mess-free. Save your toppings to serve on the side or dollop in the middle of your filling.
How to Wrap: Fold both sides in toward the center. Then, fold the bottom upward in 1/4 th. Continue to roll over until the burrito is tightly closed.
Extra Tip: If desired, place in a warm pan and sear shut if preferred. Wrap in foil to keep warm and enjoy!
Now that you know the perfect burrito filling and wrapping technique, use it for all of your next burrito recipe ideas! Use large flour tortillas filled with a Jackfruit Burrito Filling or a Quinoa Burrito Salad.
