Walking Tacos

Walking tacos are super easy to make and hands down a crowd pleaser. Whether you are going to a party, camping, a game or even just need a little pick me up, you can never go wrong with choosing to make a walking taco.  Like most popular foods the origins are somewhat murky but some say this delicious recipe was actually invented in 1982 at the World’s Fair in Tennessee. We may never really know!

Why is Monterey Jack Cheese so Special?

This delicious cheese has a mild, buttery flavor (a tiny bit sweet)  and a pale yellow color.  This cheese has often been referred to as an ¨American Original¨ and for good reason. This cheese has excellent melting properties (it’s also good for slicing and snacking)  and it is often used in Mexican cuisine. There are many flavor variants of Monterey Jack, of which pepper Jack cheese is likely the most popular.  If you are in need of a cheese substitute no worries! Here are a few you could choose from:

  • Mozzarella
  • Havarti
  • Gouda
