Picnic or BBQ Meal

Once the chicken is prepared, this rice salad can be served chilled or at room temperature, so it is a wonderful meal idea to share as a BBQ side dish or to take on a picnic! Enjoy on your own at the park or with family and friends. If you are taking this salad with you to share, remember to keep the dressing separate until it’s served.

For an extra twist, prepare a salad board with different dressings on the side and any additional toppings to have everyone build their own dish.

Dressings: Make the dressings from scratch or buy pre-maid dressings such as Caesar, French, honey-mustard, green goddess dressing, Italian dressing, sweet chili, or pesto to name a few.

Toppings: Crumbled bacon, blue cheese, nuts or croutons for an extra crunch.

Make sure to bring cold beverages to keep you refreshed in the sun and some fresh fruit for dessert.
