    Recipe Tips

  • If you’re not a fan of tuna, substitute chicken, shrimp or salmon in this salad.

For more flavor, try adding 1/4 cup of feta cheese to this salad. You could also try garnishing this salad with sliced avocado or toasted nuts.

Tuna Twist

This refreshing rice salad is a lighter take on your typical tuna salad. Love the creamy taste of tuna salad but want it without mayonnaise? Try mashing up avocado and mixing it with the tuna before adding it into the salad.

This salad is light and perfect for almost any occasion. Serve it as a quick weeknight dinner, for your next gathering or bring it to work and have it for lunch. Simply keep the vinaigrette in a separate container until ready to enjoy.

Plan Ahead

Salads like this or our Summer Corn and Rice Salad, are simple and easy to toss together when you need a meal at the drop of a hat. Keep a few boxes of our Success® Boil-in-Bag Basmati or jasmine rice on hand, along with cans of tuna and frozen vegetables and you’ll have everything you need to make a meal in minutes. Add a few fresh vegetables and some lettuce and you’ve got the makings of a perfect summer salad.

Another great way to plan ahead is to make a bottle of your own vinaigrette to store in the fridge. Or, if you prefer, get your hands on a good, store-bought variety. Experiment to find your favorite blend and always keep a bit on hand for your next salad.
