Tuna Twist

This refreshing rice salad is a lighter take on your typical tuna salad. Missing that creamy tuna salad taste but want it mayonnaise free? Try mashing up avocado and mixing it with the tuna before adding it into the salad.

This salad is light and perfect for almost any occasion, serve it as a quick weeknight dinner, for your next gathering or bring it to work with you. Keep the vinaigrette to the side until ready to serve and enjoy!

Be proactive

Salads like this or a Summer Corn and Rice Salad are simple and easy to toss together when you need a meal at the drop of the hat. Be proactive and keep a few boxes of our Boil-in-Bag Basmati or Jasmine Rice on hand along with cans of tuna or frozen vegetables for when you need a quick meal. Grab a few fresh vegetables with lettuce and you’ve got a perfect Summer salad.

Pre-making a bottle of your own vinaigrette is also a great way to be prepared ahead of time or get your hands on a good store-bought variety. Experiment to find your favorite blend and keep a bit on hand for your next salad.
