This Easy Smoked Sausage and Rice Skillet recipe is made with our Success® White Rice and is a one-skillet wonder with sautéed peppers and sweet white onions. With tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, it’s an ode to an adored Italian-American classic.
Step 1
Prepare rice according to package directions.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add smoked sausage and cook for 5 minutes, until browned.
Step 3
Add broccoli, onions, bell peppers, and garlic to skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Add rice, broth and tomato sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with cheese.
