    Step 4

  • Add cooked rice to skillet. Stir to thoroughly combine and heat through.

Love for Louisiana

Down on the bayou, you’re sure to find the perfect jambalaya. Originating in Louisiana, this recipe includes a mix of Spanish, French and West African flavors. It’s traditionally made with meat, sausage and seafood mixed together with vegetables and rice. Answer your craving tonight with this recipe or our Jumpin’ Jambalaya, inspired by the classic.

The majority of jambalaya recipes call for smoked sausages, such as andouille, along with pork or chicken and seafood. If it’s crawfish season, you best believe those are thrown in too!

Similar to paella, it’s also common to mix up the meats or seafood ingredients in traditional jambalaya. For ours, we put together chicken and smoked turkey sausage. These tender meats are sautéed with the holy trinity of Louisiana cooking, made up of diced onions, green bell peppers and celery.

All of these flavorful components are simmered together in a savory mix of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, creole seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.

Last but not least, our precooked, 10-minute Success® White Rice gets added in and mixed until incorporated.
