  • 1/3 cup seasoned rice vinegar (store-bought or homemade*)
  • 2 (5 oz) canned tuna packed in water, drained
  • 2 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 nori sheets, halved
  • 1 mini cucumber, julienned
  • Black and white sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Scallions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • Soy sauce (optional)
  • Pickled ginger (optional)
  • Wasabi (optional)

Instructions

  • With a little practice, you can roll sushi like a pro! Start with this Success® Sticky Rice recipe, and experiment with your favorite fillings.

    Step 1

Prepare rice according to package directions.

     Step 2

Place rice in a medium bowl and fold in rice wine vinegar. Place a wet towel over the bowl of rice to keep it from drying out. Allow to cool to room temperature.

     Step 3

In a small bowl, combine tuna, mayo, and sriracha.

     Step 4

Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat (shiny side down). Wet your hands with water and spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving about an inch at the top.

     Step 5

Add the tuna mixture to the center of the rice along with the cucumbers. Using the sushi mat, carefully roll the nori away from you, pressing gently to form a tight roll. Seal the edge with a little water.

     Step 6

Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi, if desired.
