Rice Crust Pizza

  • For the Crust:
  • 1 bag Success® White Rice
  • 2 egg, well beaten
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • For the Pizza Filling:
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • Choice of toppings: turkey sausage, bell pepper, ripe olives, mushrooms, and hot pepper sauce to taste.
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded


  • For the crust

    Step 1

  • Prepare rice according to package directions.

    Step 2

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray and set aside.

    Step 3

  • Combine eggs, rice, cheese, onion, and salt in a medium bowl and mix well.

    Step 4

  • With the back of a spoon, press mixture evenly onto bottom and sides of pan.

    Step 5

  • Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven.

    For the pizza filling

    Step 6

  • Combine pizza sauce and Italian seasoning in a small bowl and mix well.

    Step 7

  • Spoon sauce over crust, up to 1 inch from edge.

    Step 8

  • Cover with toppings of your choice and Mozzarella cheese.

    Step 9

  • Bake at 450°F until cheese melts, about 10 minutes.

    Step 10

  • Let pizza cool for 5 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.
