This recipe ticks all the boxes for a traditional Thai recipe. Aromatic Jasmine Rice, check. Sweet exotic fruit, check. Spicy red chili peppers, double-check! With all those traditional Southeast Asian flavors, it’s not tasty, it’s Thai tasty.
Like most Thai recipes, this one begins with a fragrant base of fresh herbs and peppers. You’ll start things off with a sweet and spicy core of blended green onions, chili peppers, and cilantro. This combination gets added with pineapple chunks and then combined in a large skillet with garlic and sautéed through. This step is highly important, as the heat will bring out the fragrant flavors of this mixture.
Once this step is complete, you’re only a few minutes away from finishing off your Pineapple Shrimp rice. At this point, all you’ll need is some fresh shrimp and two bags of our Success® Boil-in-Bag Jasmine Rice, which can be cooked in the microwave or stovetop. Add shrimp to skillet, cook through and when they have lost their pink color, fold in the previously cooked rice. Heat all together and enjoy!
