Prepare rice according to package directions.
Set aside 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk. Combine remaining evaporated milk, cooked rice, pumpkin, 1/2 cup brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and salt in a heavy, 2-quart saucepan set over medium heat.
Cook, stirring frequently, for 8-10 minutes, or until pudding begins to thicken.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add remaining brown sugar and reserved evaporated milk. Stir until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir in pecans.
Serve pudding topped with pecan praline sauce.
