  • Prepare rice according to package directions.

  • Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir until the onions have softened and turned golden, about 10 minutes. Stir in ginger, carrots, and salt to taste. Cover and let steam 5 minutes. Stir in cooked rice. If desired, garnish with fresh cilantro.
