Much More Than a Side Dish

Want something more than white rice? Jazz up your meal with this flavorsome side dish. With fresh ginger root and grated carrot, this recipe is the ideal way to add some excitement to your dinner.

Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet carrot and zesty ginger root, as well as your choice of our aromatic Success® Basmati Rice or Success® Jasmine Rice. Similar to an authentic rice pilaf, this recipe starts with sautéing onions in a good amount of butter and then stirring in additional veggies until they’re softened. In this case, we add ginger and shredded carrots and cover them, allowing both to steam in their flavorings.

Once your vegetables are at the optimal texture, add in a bag of pre-cooked rice and stir it around until fully incorporated. After, a bit of salt and fresh cilantro leaves brings everything together.
