Vegetable Biryani with Yellow Jasmine Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Success® Jasmine Rice
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup fresh mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  • A blend of aromatics, spices and fresh vegetables transform jasmine rice into an irresistible vegetarian dish in this effortless recipe.  

  • Step 1 

    Prepare rice according to package directions, adding turmeric to water. 

  • Step 2 

    Heat ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in garam masala and cook for 30 seconds. 

  • Step 3 

    Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Pour in yogurt and simmer for 5 minutes until vegetables are tender. 

  • Step 4 

    Mix rice with vegetable biryani. Add salt. 

  • Step 5 

    Stir to fully combine. Garnish with cilantro, if using.
