Ingredients

  • 1 bag Success® White Rice
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 4 oz of mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • For a classic Italian snack that’s cheesy and satisfying, try these Suppli Rice Balls. They’re perfect for kids and adults alike.

    Step 1

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Prepare rice according to package directions. Replace water with chicken stock.

    Step 2

  • Once rice has been cooked, stir in the grated parmesan and season with salt and pepper.

    Step 3

  • Allow the rice to cool enough so that it can be handled easily. Take a small handful of the rice and flatten it. Place one piece of mozzarella in the center. Then form into a bowl, making sure the cheese is covered. Repeat until everything is used.

    Step 4

  • Grab three medium bowls, putting flour in one, the beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs in the last one. Roll the balls in the flour first, dip into the beat eggs, the roll in the breadcrumbs. Make sure to press on the balls to make sure the breadcrumbs stay. Repeat with remaining balls.

    Step 5

  • Lightly coat air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

    Step 6

  • Once the air fryer is preheated, place the balls in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between each one for even cooking. It may take a few batches to cook them all. Spray the tops of each ball with cooking spray to help with browning.

    Step 7

  • Cook for 10 minutes until they are golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes and serve.

    Recipe Tips

Use tomato sauce as a dip.

If an air fryer is not available, these can be fried in a fryer or a deep pan using vegetable oil. Heat to 350°F for 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and let drain on a plate lined with a paper towel
