Saucy Salsa

Easy to prepare, this quick salsa requires only 5 ingredients and just 3 simple steps! Inspired by a traditional Mexican dish, this seafood salsa with Success® White Rice and crab makes a great appetizer. Served with a green salad, you can even make this into a well-balanced meal.

With our innovative Success® Boil-in-Bag Rice, this dish takes less than 15 minutes to whip up! Heat the ingredients together while cooking up the rice, then toss together. Choose your favorite salsa or make your own homemade tomato salsa for this recipe.

Versatility is Key

Make this salsa your own by using the ingredients that work best for you. This recipe calls for imitation crab, which is mainly made of white fish. Feel free to sub in your preferred type of seafood, though, like crab, shrimp or another type of firm fish, such as cod. If you’re eating a vegetarian or vegan diet, sub in your choice of protein, such as tofu or vegan shrimp or crab.

This recipe is so versatile that you can eat it as you would regular salsa, spooned up with chips. Or, grab some tortillas and turn this salsa into your very own version of fish tacos. Top the tacos with sliced avocado, lettuce and freshly chopped tomatoes for a complete meal.

If you’re looking to heat this spicy salsa up even more, serve it with Tabasco or another favorite hot sauce. You could also add in a hint of chili powder or minced jalapeño pepper. If you have leftover jalapeños, save them for this Spicy Indian Shrimp dish.

You can also prepare this dish with Success® Brown Rice to bring some whole grains to the fiesta.
