Ingredients

  • 1 bag Success® White Rice or Success® Brown Rice
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 can (20 oz.) apple pie filling
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup uncooked rolled oats
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

    Step 1

  • Prepare rice according to package directions. Cool.

    Step 2

  • Preheat oven to 350º F and spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

    Step 3

  • Combine rice, pie filling, ½ cup brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and walnuts in a medium bowl. Pour into prepared dish. In the same bowl, combine rolled oats and remaining ½ cup brown sugar. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork, mixing well until mixture is moist. Sprinkle over rice mixture.

  • Bake 20 minutes. Serve and top with ice cream, if desired.
