Ingredients

  • 1 bag Success® Sticky Rice
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3/8 tsp salt, divided
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Caramelized banana, garnish (see recipe tip)
  • Toasted coconut, garnish

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3/8 tsp salt, divided

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Caramelized banana, garnish (see recipe tip)
  • Toasted coconut, garnish

Instructions

  • Brown sugar, heavy cream and plenty of butter steer Success® Sticky Rice into seriously ooey gooey territory in this modern take on sticky toffee pudding.

    Step 1

    Prepare rice according to package directions.

    Step 2

    Remove rice from bag. Return to pot and stir in milk, brown sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt. Simmer for 5 minutes.

    Step 3

    In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar for 2 minutes or until dissolved.

    Step 4

    Whisk in cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and remaining salt.

    Step 5

    Add rice to a bowl. Pour toffee sauce on top. Garnish with caramelized bananas and coconut. Serve warm or chilled.

Quick Caramelized Banana Recipe: • 1 banana, cut into coins • 1 tbsp butter • 1 tbsp brown sugar • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 1. In medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until it becomes a syrup. 2. Add bananas in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drizzle vanilla on top.
