Step 1
Prepare rice according to package directions.
Step 2: Season steak with salt and pepper.
Step 3: In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat. Brown steak for 1 minute turning once halfway through. Cook in batches if needed. Set aside.
Step 4: Reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Cook onions for 1 minute. Add mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
Step 5: Add flour and stir. Cook for 1 minute, then add half of the broth. Stir until completely combined, then add remaining broth.
Step 6: Stir in sour cream and mustard. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Add beef and cook for 1 more minute.
Step 7: Serve over rice.
