The production code date is located on the top or bottom of each package near the BEST BY date. It’s a combination of numbers and a letter (e.g., 103M8 04 1 07:50 or V11818).
For example:
103 = Julian Date (103rd day of the year);
M2 = plant code and year produced;
04 = packaging line number;
1 = Boil-in-Bag line number;
07:50 = time (in military time = 7:50 AM).
To ensure the best quality and flavor, it is recommended to use the product within two years of the date stamped.
