Success® Brown Rice


Success® Whole-Grain Brown Rice, the ONLY Boil-in-Bag quick cooking brown rice, offers similar nutritional benefits of long cooking brown rice but is ready in one-fourth the time. In only 10 minutes, Success Whole-Grain Brown Rice provides many healthy product benefits including: contains rice bran, and, does not contain additives or preservatives. An excellent source of complex carbohydrates, Success Whole-Grain Brown Rice is gluten free, sodium free, cholesterol free, and containing fiber; and, is low in fat (only 1 gram, not saturated fat).

In addition to the numerous health benefits of Success Brown Rice the chewy texture and nutlike flavor provide a tasty alternative from other rice products and is guaranteed perfect every time. When cooked, this brown rice can be used in a variety of recipes from salads, soups, main entrees to desserts just like white rice.

Rangetop Directions

1.  Pour about 1-quart water into medium saucepan and submerge 1 bag of Success Brown Rice. Bring water to a boil and boil uncovered 8-10 minutes.

2.  Remove bag with fork or tongs and drain. Cut bag open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Add tub margarine and salt, if desired.

To cook multiple bags:  Pour 3-quarts water into large saucepan and submerge 2-4 bags of Success Brown Rice. Bring water to a boil, and boil uncovered for 8-10 minutes.  Follow Step 2 to drain and serve rice.

Microwave Directions

1.  In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, submerge 1 bag of Success Brown Rice in water (about 1 quart). Microwave on HIGH 10 minutes.

2.  Remove bag with fork or tongs and drain. Cut bag open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Add tub margarine and salt, if desired.

Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. We do not recommend using the microwave to cook multiple bags. Refer to the RANGETOP DIRECTIONS to cook more than one bag at a time.


Cooking Directions and Other Serving Suggestions

Success Brown Rice can also be prepared "out-of-the-bag".  Empty uncooked rice into medium saucepan and add 1-¼ cups liquid (such as water or broth) per bag. Bring liquid to a boil and reduce heat to medium. Cook until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.

Success® Rice will wait for you if your meal is not ready. Cooked Success® Rice can sit in hot water with the heat off for as long 30 minutes.
